We believe prayer is central to the life of our church. It helps us grow in faith, listen more deeply and remain rooted in the presence of God. Prayer shapes how we live and how we care for one another.
Daily Office
Morning & Evening Prayer
We treasure the daily rhythm and the sense of belonging morning and evening prayer creates.
At St Mary’s, we follow the daily rhythm of prayer with quiet services open to all:
- Morning Prayer at 09:00 every day except Saturday and Sunday
- Evening Prayer at 17:30 every day except Saturday
We follow the service using the Church of England’s Daily Prayer app, the Daily Prayer App and Podcast, and have spare iPads if you to use.
Prayer Groups
Prayer Shawl Ministry
A group prayerfully knitting or crocheting items for those in need of comfort.

Vigil for the Earth
A monthly evening prayer meeting: St Mary’s hosts a quiet hour of prayer for the earth. Come and go as you please at any time during the hour.
