What Is a Legacy Gift?
A legacy gift is a gift left to the church in your will. It can be of any size, and you can choose whether it supports the Parish’s general work and ministry, or specifically the upkeep of St Mary’s building.
Why Leave a Legacy?
A legacy gift is one way of expressing gratitude for all that the church has meant in your life, helping to ensure it remains a place of worship, welcome, prayer and service for generations to come. Your family and loved ones should always come first — many people choose to provide for those closest to them and leave a proportion of what remains to causes that matter to them.
How Do I Leave a Legacy?
A legacy gift is made through your will, so the first step is to contact a solicitor to draw up a new will or amend an existing one. If you’d like your gift to support a specific purpose, we encourage you to discuss this with the Rector first.
